• He moved to moved to England to promote his invention. In 1814 his son was drafted into the army to fight at Waterloo. He turned his attention to silver salts.

•  He was known for the photo called "The view from the Window at Les Gras. He also created the worlds first internal combustion engine and received patent for it.

2. What was noteworthy and important about this photograph?

•  This was the first natural photograph captured and was the first photo obscure.

• It was taken at Les Gras

4. How long did it take to make the exposure?

• 8 Hour exposure 

5. What year was the photo taken?

•  It was taken in 1826
