Alfred Stieglitz

1. Who was Alfred Stieglitz and why is he noteworthy in the history of photography?
  • Alfred was a photographer, but he was also known as an art dealer. He is conttributed to modern photography, he was a beast with tones and textures, and belives that photography deserved a place among fine arts
2. Choose a photograph he made, upload it to your blog, and explain why you chose it as your favorite by him.
  • I choose this picture because you can just see the raw emotion in this that he took. The hands are kind of tiny and frail so it makes one think its an older lady who has lived a long and hard life.

3.With what famous painter was he in a relationship? Who was she? Upload a painting by her that you like.
  • Alfred Stieglitz was married to Georgia O'keefe, an American painter that specialized in landscapes and animal skulls and flowers.
  • I choose this picture because I thought the way the different colors and shades went together were really cool, plus it reminded me of our school colors!

.Extra Credit:
  • After marrying Georgia, Alfred started making his photos look more like paintings and Georgia started focusing more on lighting, textures and tones.

I actually really enjoy this photo because its simple yet intriguing!

My eye! It's interesting to see the different color schemes and designs within my iris

I watch a lot of CSI type of shows, and while i looking for things to take pictures of I remembered the shows being able to track a car by the tires marks.
